In the final week of term three the majority of Benalla FCJ College Year 10 students were out and about completing work experience.

FCJ College Middle School pathways coordinator Anthony Holligan said students were encouraged to seek out and organise their own work placement.

‘‘In order to help prepare them for their future career journey and support their goals and passions, this work experience program is designed to give an insight into the different occupations and business or organisations in the Benalla community and surrounding areas,’’ Mr Holligan said.

‘‘This will provide students with an invaluable insight into different roles within an industry and may even become the first step in developing a career direction.’’

This year the students participated in a wide variety of placements ranging from local trades and businesses, hospitals, veterinarian surgeries, aircraft maintenance as well as major sporting organisations in Melbourne.
