BMX bikes stolen

Police are urging the public to engrave their details on their bikes, after two BMXs were stolen from Williams St between October 7 and 9.

Both bikes have the brand of CRANE and the first one is black and white with red pedals and the other one has a white seat.

Help to reduce Graffiti

Police are appealing for the community to assist with reducing graffiti.

Benalla area has seen an increase in graffiti tags, especially at our local schools and the botanic gardens.

Traffic update

●A 40-year-old male was arrested for an outstanding warrant and the 38-year-old driver returned a positive result for illicit drugs after being intercepted on the Hume Fwy on Sunday, October 9.

●Two drivers received penalty notices after being caught using their mobile phones while driving and eight drivers were caught exceeding the speed limit on the Hume Fwy during the weekend.

Police want to remind the community that speed and distractions are the main contributor to fatalities and serious injuries.
